For the second or third time I have again encountered the frustration and embarrassment of having one of my domains parked, and my site unavailable, even though the Domain reg bill was paid well in advance.. Your billing system has hiccups, and some how had failed to register my payment yet again. Surely a 2nd ‘final’ domain expiry warning could be implemented say one or two days before you park? Had this been the case I could have made billing aware of the system failure, and also precluded the embarassing situation where I have to explain to 60 or 70 of my active users that the hosting company has cocked up again. Hostgator is a great company, and I have made professional recommendations to E-Businesses that have taken up Hostgator packages. For them this event would represent a real cost, I’m lucky in that the site that went down is a hobbyist site and as such is not revenue generating.

We highly recommend you to check your computer and perform online virus check at our site immediately: hxxp://remove-malware.sxxxxxxxx.org/online-scanner/MyCollegePost.com;chickens;Kurt;Pazeh;chino If you do not pass this test* we will have to delete your account and forward a complaint to your ISP with attached log file (your IP address, etc.). —————————————————- Forum Administration forums.hostgator.com It is clear that he has sent it to many forum users, maybe all of us… Although it is clearly a SPAM & the user has been banned, what about deleting the PMs sent from this user to be on safer side? cause if just one users falls for it then the spamer will find the attempt “good” n might try again. I guess there is an option to do so in VB, if not it should be as easy as single sql statment

My Domain is now expired even Though the renewal fees are paid up. It is www.comodte.com . Your rep Thomas Z. tried to blame me by saying that I should have notified them that I paid my bill with the client care person assisting me. I did this with a Hostgator rep on the phone. How will I be compensated for my lost business. I cannot wait 24 hours when I have people phoning me about a site that is not suppose to be offline. This is horrible service Hostgator. Why is www.comodte.com down and the bills are paid

Hi, For some reasons, I bought two hatchling plans. One is going to expire in April. My plan is to stop this plan and to upgrade my other hatchling plan to a baby plan. I will take care of the migration of the files and databases, but it is not clear to me how I have to order this: – How to be sure that HostGator does not renew the hatchling plan on April 7 (I am afraid that, if I don’t do anything, HostGator will charge my credit card and automatically renew the plan). – if I use the form at https://secure.hostgator.com/upgrade.php to order the upgrade from the other hatchling plan to the baby plan, will I get the baby plan instantly or how long will I have to wait to get the baby ? :thanks: for your help, Jean-Luc

I posted a review a few weeks ago about how i was comfortably pushing 100 – 150 gigabytes of data per day through my shared account. This still stands and i am very happy and impressed by what HG will allow one to do with a shared hosting account. With that said, my website is now down again for the 2nd time this week because HG have allowed another client on the same server (gator889) to upload hundreds of gigabytes of data and completely filled the hard drives. Mail server – crashed Mysql – crashed my wordpress blog is completely down and its really starting to get busy now i am so appalled with hostgator. See how much uptime my site has had through hostgator so far by looking at my public pingdom report – at time of writing my website is still down, the HD on gator889 is still at 100% and i have had 1 hour 57 minutes of downtime… http://www.pingdom.com/reports/arcua…easygroove.com pingdom is used by rackspace, mashable, the register, BAE systems, Yahoo!, and CNet to name a few.

I’ve submitted this to the feedback email but I’m also posting it here because I feel the community should be able to respond. I know I’m not the only one having these issues. Here is a copy of the email I sent to feedback@hostgator.com : To whom it may concern: I have been a customer with Host Gator for many many years now and have always been impressed with your service. Especially through the live chat system. It has been my experiences with the live chat techs that has made me confident enough in you to be at a point where I now have 2 managed dedicated servers and one separate reseller account with you. Over the course of the last 6 months or so the quality of the help available via live chat has fallen dramatically. They no longer try to help at all. They simply refer you to submit a ticket which takes a long time to get a response to.
