Hostgator has been absolutely TERRIBLE lately. Our sites have gone down the last three weekends in a row for at least a day to two days, always on the weekend, so we have no idea and come into work and have tons of messages from customers saying our site was saying “cannot find the server” – we have a dedicated server and pay a lot of money for our sites, and to come in and find that our sites were down over the weekend is so frustrating then to come onto the live help and hear the tech give me canned responses like “Oh, its because you did this to this file” when we hadn’t touched the file in months, or “oh its working here” when the person really has no clue what he is talking about, is even more frustrating

Currently having to sit around waiting for the tech guys to put my main business server back online after a late payment. At the beginning of the month, I had 40 reseller accounts and 2 dedicated servers from Hostgator, all of which I believed were on automated Paypal subscriptions except for a single paying for extra IP’s on one of the servers. It turns out that for some reason the latest server had not been set up on recurring billing through Paypal.

Does anyone need to pay for bandwhich overage when transfer files for changing hosting? I was using Linux Dedicated Server with Hostgator, Our country has ISP issues in route with server in Houston it made our visitors in our country surfing site very slow. I already contact to Hostgator to fixing those issued, but Hostgator can not provide us the way to solve problem (For a month). Also in those ticket I already told Hostgator. I will need to transfer all files to local-host in our country to fixed that issued (For keep our web running) if slow issue can not fixing by Hostgator. During files transfer. I submit cancelation form to Hostgator

I have loved everything about HG so far but yesterday I had a problem that HG live chat William Ho and phone rep had no resolution for. I got an email from Paypal saying my subscription to pay for my dedicated server had been canceled by HG. Both William Ho and the phone rep told me there was no way HG could cancel a customer’s Paypal subscription. Yet according to Paypal the subscription was canceled by HG. Further William Ho informed there was no way to escalate this or look into it further. I opened ticket FBX-13387573 in hopes you may be able to help but thought I’d also post here. I’m a bit frustrated right now. My experience up to this point has far far exceeded my expectations in every way. This is the first real issue I have had so overall Way To Go HG!! You rock!!

IMy dedicated server is down for some time and my ticket is not responded yet. And for the live support 418 people waiting for support there is not even a single support member online. (8:46:23 AM) System: There currently are 418 people in front of you. There are currently 0 chat technicians assisting customers. I will move my site to another company. I bought many dedicated servers from many different companies but never seen anything like that before..

Hi Guys I understand that a 25 process limit per account is more than enough considering that most processes will open/close in a few seconds, but what about IMAP processes? needed for every guy using a Blackberry (this also applies to other cel phones, outlook using imap, etc). As you know every single mail account using IMAP, will open a process that will stay open 24/7, which causes very minimal impact on the server, so the question is, will you ever raise the number of allowed imap processes?
